Each intake is built around our signature pre-preg carbon fiber airboxes, designed in house to deliver optimum airflow, lower intake temperatures, and measurable increases in power and response.

M119 Tall Top
(1990 - 1992)
In 1996 a new E-Class (W210) came out, and with it came a revised M119. RENNtech immediately went to work with the new chassis, resulting in the RENNtech E60, and E60 RS. One of their key elements was their large Carbon Fiber airbox, that used the available space to maximum effect allowing the E60s to generate upwards of 430hp, beating its AMG equivalent by 50hp.

M113 Bubble Top
(1998 - 2011)
In 1998 the replacement of the M119 brought a new dawn, and with it an all-new V8: the M113.
Legendary for its reliability, the early M113 got its own airbox. Made from Carbon fiber and designed with beautiful yet functional curves, it greatly improved airflow and volume compared to OEM. The design traits that made it functional provided this airbox with its name, the Bubbletop.

M113 Flat Top
(1998 - 2011)
By the early 00’s the M113 faced stiff competition from other car manufacturers, this resulted in a plethora of revisions and an increase in displacement.
The updates provided yet another opportunity to improve. RENNtech achieved this by increasing volume and removing restrictions allowing for more power across the entire RPM range while retaining the overall design and fitment of the OEM Airbox.

M113K V8 Kompressor
(2002 - 2011)
In 2004 the now famous M113K was the first forced induction V8 engine to come out of Affalterbach, it started an arms race among German manufacturers, and even though it was not short on power, as always RENNtech found a way to improve on it. Through an increase of volume and careful re-design and analysis of how the air enters the engine the RENNtech M113K Airbox achieved an increase of both power and torque. Its performance and beautiful Carbon Fiber finish made it a must-have for M113K vehicles, remaining a popular product even today 20 years later.

M156 V8 6.3 Liter
(1991 - 1999)
By 2011 the horsepower wars were truly on, and with it came an all-new 5.5 Twin Turbo V8: the M157.
Once again RENNtech went to work, and the result was a beautiful Carbon Fiber arrangement of Airboxes and Turbo Inlet pipes. Engineering proved a challenge due to the packaging of the setup, even then RENNtech managed to increase volume and improve airflow resulting in a healthy power increase without compromise.

M157 V8 Liter
(1991 - 1999)
In 2015 the M177 burst into the stage. Even though displacement was reduced to 4.0 Liters, performance was not sacrificed. Hot-V Twin Turbocharged and available in 3 different variations it was a powerhouse that responded incredibly well to upgrades.
Among those was our Airbox for the Twin Scroll engines. Designed to house substantially larger symmetrical filters, it was engineered to maximize the available space while retaining OEM fitment. Helping our GT63 Monster achieve north of 1000hp, the airbox is a popular upgrade among M177 owners and a must-have for those seeking big power.
